Our bodies are smart, they do the best with what we give them to work with. If you are constantly under stress and in pain, your body will do what it can to make that work for you, adapting so you can continue to function in your daily life. If you get support in being present, in finding a different relationship with the stressor or the pattern, the stress and pain can shift significantly. Utilizing bodywork, I partner with you to unwind the patterns that are causing pain and discomfort, and help support you in finding a different way of being.
We all can benefit from this level of presence and support, but it can be especially helpful for those who feel ready for a change. Maybe you are going through a transition period. Maybe you feel your current way of being is no longer supportive. We can help support a shift in the patterns in your body.
A great example is doing this work in preparation for surgery. There are many factors in a decision to have a surgery, and many times pain is one of those factors. It is important to support you and your body getting to a good place and a good frame of mind. This makes is much more easeful to welcome the changes your surgery will bring and sweeten your recovery.
